Using This Manual
Audience
To use this manual you must have a basic knowledge of your computer,
mouse, and operating system, and be familiar with other MS-DOS
®
and
Microsoft
®
Windows
®
-based products. Therefore, instructions such as which
mouse button to press or how to select an item from a menu are not included.
Conventions
This manual uses the following documentation conventions:

Convention Description
Filename.ext File names with extensions use initial capital letters. An
asterisk (*) appears if the file name could vary, as in
*.vfg.
“Option” vs. ‘value’
Gemstall “options” appear in double quotes.
Required ‘values’ for Gemstall options appear in single
quotes.
Example:
The “Select Back_Office” option must be set
to ‘RubyLink’.
- Optional steps
A procedure may contain required steps and optional
steps. Optional steps are bulleted. Choose one of the
options to continue.
