Thank
you
for
choosing
the
Verifii
TM
Digital
Dosimetry
Platform
to
manage
your
occupational
radiation
monitoring
programs.
The
following
instructions
have
been
prepared
to
help
you
achieve
optimal
results
when
using
the
Verifii
digital
dosimeter.
Dosimeter
Communications
The
Verifii
digital
dosimeter
communicates
with
the
Verifii
cloud
applications
via
a
base
station/gateway
using
Bluetooth
Low
Energy
(BLE)
4.0
communications.
The
BLE
signal
typically
has
a
range
of
50
feet
and
the
dosimeter
should
be
placed
within
50
feet
of
the
base
station
at
least
once
daily
for
data
transmission.
The
Verifii
Digital
Dosimetry
Platform
supports
a
number
of
devices
to
be
used
as
a
base
station
including
iPads,
iPhones
and
PC’s.
For
information
about
assigning
dosimeters
to
participants
and
establishing
the
Verifii
dosimeter’s
communications
with
a
base
station,
please
see
the
“Quick
Start
Base
Station
User
Guide.”
The
Verifii
Digital
Dosimeter
needs
to
be
within
range
of
a
base
station
to
support
the
following
dosimeter
modes
of
operation:

Initialization
‐
Assignment
‐
Unassignment
‐
Data
Transmission
‐
Software/Firmware
Updates
Initializing
the
Device
When
you
receive
your
dosimeter
in
the
box,
it
will
be
in
sleep
mode.
This
keeps
the
device
in
ultra
‐
low
‐
power
mode
to
optimize
shelf
life.
When
you
are
ready
to
use
the
device,
you
will
need
to
initialize
it
by
pressing
the
wake
up
button.
The
dosimeter
LED
will
flash
three
times
indicating
the
dosimeter
has
been
successfully
activated
Using
the
Device
Once
the
device
is
initialized
and
assigned
to
a
participant,
it
will
collect
measurements
every
hour.
There
is
nothing
additional
you
will
need
to
do
to
use
the
device.
Simply
ensure
you
are
within
range
of
a
base
station
(50
feet)
at
least
once
per
day
and
wear
the
dosimeter
properly.
While
wearing
the
dosimeter:
1.
Your
badge
should
be
worn
on
or
near
your
shirt
collar
2.
The
raised
hexagon
shape
on
the
dosimeter
must
be
facing
out
and
away
from
the
body
3.
Always
check
the
dosimeter
label
to
ensure
you’re
wearing
the
correct
dosimeter
Note:
Your
dosimeter
may
generate
an
error
message
on
the
Verifii
dashboard
if
it
has
been
away
from
the
base
station
for
too
long,
or
if
the
batteries
need
to
be
replaced.
