MAINTENANCE & SAFETY
REGULAR INSPECTIONS
Verathon offers certification services through authorized BladderScan service representatives or a Verathon
service center. Certification service includes comprehensive inspection and testing of the system. For more
information, contact your authorized Verathon Service Center, your local BladderScan distributor, or Verathon
Customer Care.
WEEKLY INSPECTIONS
Once a week, you should inspect the following system components for damage or cracks:
• Console
• Probe
• Probe cable
• Printer
• Printer cable
• Workstation
• Power adapter
• Power cable
• Power cord
• Battery or batteries
• Plugs
Cracks that allow the ingress of fluid into the console or probe may affect the performance of the system.
Other than the maintenance included in this manual, all service and repairs must be completed by an
authorized BladderScan service representative or Verathon Service Center. For more information, contact
Verathon Customer Care or your local representative.
CALIBRATION
The system does not require routine or periodic calibration under normal use.
If your facility or regional regulations require periodic maintenance, refer to the procedure
on page 59, which can be used to confirm proper probe functionality.
