2. Assembly and installation

Unpacking
➢
Check the integrity of the unit after unpacking.
•
The box includes

OV 725 Digital Disperser (A)

Tool disassembly kit

➢
Support shaft
•
Installation
➢
Place the Mini H-Stand (C) (accessory) on a surface as described on safety regulations
➢
Fix the support shaft to the instrument with the allen head screw
➢
Firmly fix the instrument to the Mini H-Stand (C)
➢
Secure the receptacle with the sample using the vessel holder with safety belt (D) supplied to the Mini H-Stand
➢
Slide the dispersing tool (accessory) into the head of the disperser up to the stop and tight it with the knob (B)
➢
Place the dispersing tool into the sample as indicated in Chapter 5
➢
Make sure that the rating value of the instrument corresponds to the one of the power supply
➢
Ensure that the socket, with grounding, is compliant with the current safety norms and easy to reach
➢
Enter the plug into the socket
IMPORTANT NOTE
•
Check that the support shaft is firmly seated. The vibrations may loosen the allen head screw, for safety reasons, be
sure to tight it periodically.
•
Check that the disperser is securely mounted in position before use and at regular periods. The position of disperser
can only be changed if the instrument is turned off and disconnected from the power supply.
3. Operation
•
Power-up

Turn the instrument on through the main switch (E)
➢
The display (G) shows the software version, last setpoint value and

•
Dispersing
➢
Adjust speed set point by turning the speed control knob (F)
➢
Click the control knob to start dispersing
➢
Speed increases until setpoint achievement
➢
A microprocessor ensures constant speed even when the viscosity changes (SpeedServo)
➢
Stop the dispersing process by pressing the control knob (F)
•
Timer
➢
Click the
Timer key (M). “MM:SS” appears on display and the LED (L) lights up
➢
Rotate speed control knob (F) to set the desired value. Click to confirm
➢
The LED lights continuously until the instrument starts working
➢
When the instrument is working, the LED blink and the countdown starts
➢
It is possible to check the countdown at any time during dispersing by clicking the Timer key (M)
➢
When the
countdown finishes, “
” is visualized on the display and the disperser stops.
•
Timer modality
➢
Click the
Timer key (M). “MM:SS” appears on display and the LED (L) lights up
➢
Click again Timer key
(M). “HH:MM” appears on display and the LED (I) lights up
➢
Rotate control knob (F) to set the timer. Click to confirm
➢
It’s possible to select two scales of timer:

MM:SS from 00:00 to 99:59

HH:MM from 00:00 to 99:59
