1. Introduction & Warranty
The
MONCOLHA5PN4
is controlled by an OSD ("On-Screen Display") microcomputer. This computer is used to
adjust contrast, brightness, colour and volume. Do not forget to remove the protective foil from the display when
bringing this device into service.
The warranty automatically becomes void if the user personally tries to repair or modify the device. The warranty also
becomes void in case of damage caused by inappropriate use or the disregard of standard safety prescriptions in
general and those in this manual in particular. Velleman Inc. does not accept responsibility for personal injury caused
by the disregard of the safety instructions in this manual. This also goes for all types of consequential loss.

headphones
: headphones connection (mono)
POWER button
: to activate/deactivate the device
MENU button
: to select the various adjustments
“-” button
: to reduce the entered values
“+” button
: to increase the entered values
L/R button
: to reverse the image (left/right)
TIME button
: to set the timer (0/15/30/45/90/105/120min.)
sensor
: remote control sensor (right of TIME button)
Remark: the adjustments are also mirrored when the image is mirrored through the L/R adjustment.
3. Operation
a) Make sure the video and audio input connections are properly executed (see also “
4. Wiring
”).
b) Press
MENU
to display the adjustments in this order: Brightness
→
Colour
→
Contrast
→
Volume
→
Brightness
→
… Enter the values with
+
and
-
.
c) The
POWER
button activates/deactivates the LCD monitor. It is not necessary to disconnect the 12VDC power
adapter.
d) The
L/R
adjustment allows you to reverse the image horizontally (left/right) e.g. when using a reversing camera
on a vehicle.
e) Use the
TIMER
adjustment to programme the time that will elapse before the device is deactivated. Install a
deactivation delay of 0, 15, 30, 45, 90, 105 or 120 minutes.
f) The speaker is switched off when headphones are connected.
4. Wiring
Connect the supplied cable with the monitor’s mini-DIN plug.
Connections : red + white RCA = audio in
yellow RCA
= video in
black
= ground 12V
red
= +12V (±10%) (use a DC 12V/1000mAh power supply)
Note that a DC car plug + connection cable is included, but a 12Vdc regulated power adapter is optional
(order code PSU10R).
