INSTALLATION, OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
FOR COOKER HOOD MODEL VICH 3114.1 X Island, 230-240 Vac - 50 Hz
The equipment is constructed in accordance with European Standards and with the requirements included in the following Directives:
EN60335-1 ( Low Voltage Directive), EN55014-2 (Electromagnetic Compatibility).
SAFETY
-Do not flambé under the hood
-Constantly check food frying as the overheated oil might burst into
flames.
-Before carrying out any cleaning operation, cut off the power by
disconnecting the plug or using the main
switch.
-When using the hood at the same time as equipment that sends out fumes
and uses energy other than the electrical energy, make sure the room is
ventilated.
-Avoid free flames (unused)
-The hood is not intended for use other than: reduction of cooking odours.
-It is recommended to operate the hood before carrying out any cooking
operation and to leave it in operation for at least 15 minutes after cooking
is terminated in order to completely eliminate odours.
-Use a damp cloth and neutral liquid cleaner only.
-Avoid using wet cloths and sponges, water jets, diluents, solvents, alcohol
and abrasive substances.
-Before carrying out any maintenance operation, cut off the power by
disconnecting the plug or using the main switch.
-Do not connect the appliance outlet to inlet ducts for fumes produced by
combustion from energy other than the electrical energy.
-The minimum safety distance between the hob and the hood is 65cm.
-The appliance is used correctly and safely when the maximum depression
in the room does not exceed 4Pa.
-Firmly hang the hood body on the ceiling, always considering that the
distance between the hob and the lower part of the hood must not be less
than 650mm; use the screws supplied.
-Make sure that the mains voltage is suitable for feeding the hood, as
specified on the plate inside the appliance.
-This appliance is not intended for use by people (including children)
with impaired physical, sensory or mental abilities or no experience,
unless they have been instructed about the use of the appliance and are
controlled by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
-Provide adequate ventilation in the room when the hood is used at the
same time as other appliances burning gas or other fuels.
-There is a risk of fire if cleaning is not carried out in accordance with the
instructions.

WARNING
: Accessible parts may become very hot when the hob is used.
CLEANING
-Use a damp cloth and neutral liquid cleaner only.
-Avoid using wet cloths and sponges, water jets, diluents, solvents, alcohol
and abrasive substances.
-The hood should be cleaned at least once a month.
