General Instructions
transforma
.plur: Transformers with corrugated tank
and submerged in dielectric liquid from 3150 kVA
7.2.3. Noise
Whenever noises other than those typical of the
transformer's normal operation are detected, contact
Ormazabal
and inform of their nature in order to determine
their origin.
7.2.4. Tightening screws and threaded pieces
Whenever it is detected that the tank's earthing terminals
are loose, de-energise the transformer, according to the
instructions indicated in section 6.1 and tighten them
immediately.
The screws or rods which keep the transformer's wheel
chocks in place must be tightened securely to prevent
accidental movements of the transformer. Check that the
tank valve screws have not become loose due to vibrations.
If they have, tighten securely to prevent any re-occurrence.
7.2.5. Oil leaks
Although it is not normal, dielectric liquid leaks may occur
in a dielectric liquid transformer. If a leak is detected in the
transformer, contact
Ormazabal
immediately, providing as
much information as possible (including photographs of
the leak) in order to provide a suitable solution.
7.2.6. Paint
The transformers may show damage in the surface finish
due to abrasions or blows with blunt instruments or as a
result of handling and transport.
These defects in the paint may also show localised rusting.
If any damage occurs to the paint, contact
Ormazabal
,
sending photos and a description of the damage, so that
we can define the best actions to resolve the problem.
Below are some instructions on how to repair the affected
areas.
