Safety information

Please read this safety information carefully.
•
It is recommended for disabled drivers who are unfamiliar with
using the hand control to practise at a driver training area or
similar the first few times they drive the vehicle.
•
The hand control, including the rods in the installation kit, will restrict the space
available and the adjustment range of the seat for the driver, whether they
are disabled or able-bodied. Therefore, extreme care must be taken when
driving the vehicle.
If a disabled driver has reduced mobility in their legs, a pedal cover must be
fitted over the accelerator
and
brake pedals. This is to prevent the driver oper
-
ating or jamming the pedals accidentally.
The responsible expert at TÜV or DEKRA decides whether a pedal cover
is required and documents the decision in an expert report. This expert
report forms the basis for a corresponding entry on the driver’s licence.
This pedal cover is not supplied with the hand control or the installation kit. The
pedal cover must be ordered separately for the vehicle type in question.
It is not permitted to modify or attach additional parts to the hand control,
dashboard or centre console.
Therefore, you must not install mobile phone cradles or similar here, for
example.
Only people who are familiar with the hand control and have been instructed
in how to use it may drive the vehicle using this hand control.
