Safety information
The brake lock button (see "Brake lock function") is a starting aid and does
not replace operation of the standard parking brake (handbrake). When
getting out of the vehicle, do not use this button to secure the vehicle’s pos-
ition on uphill/downhill slopes; internal leaks and discharge of the vehicle
battery mean this button in no way guarantees a permanent locking effect.
Always apply the standard parking brake and set the selector lever to "P"
when parking.
Drivers who rely on locking the brake pedal must be able to do so and are per
-
mitted to use these locking devices. Other drivers who are capable of operating
the vehicle in the standard way are not permitted to use these locking devices.
This is because the state of the art for standard vehicles requires different tech
-
nical solutions.
Applies only to installation kits where the seat forward-back adjustment
limit can be modified:
In certain vehicle types, if the seat is in a high position and is then moved for-
wards, this can activate the hand control. Therefore, do not change the position
of the device that is attached to restrict the seat movement; this is to ensure that
the seat movement range remains limited.
