Section Coding Violation. This is a B1 error, which is also known as a Section BIP-8.
D
dBm
Power level expressed in relation to 1 milliwatt. For example: 0dBm = 1 milliwatt; +3
dBm = 2 milliwatt; -3 dBm = 0.5 milliwatt.
D1-D3 bytes
Regenerator Section Data Communications Channel (DCC) bytes. These three bytes
form a 192 kbits/s message channel providing a message-based channel for
Operations, Administration and Maintenance (OAM) between pieces of section
terminating equipment. The channel can be used from a central location for control,
monitoring, administration, and other communication needs.
D4-D12
Multiplex Section (MS) Data Communications Channel (DCC) bytes. These nine bytes
form a 576 kbits/s message channel from a central location for OAM information
(control, maintenance, remote provisioning, monitoring, administration another
communication needs).
DAPI
Destination Access Point Identifier
DEI
Drop eligible indicator. When referring to VLAN , this is a 1-bit field (formerly called CFI)
that should remain set to the default value of 0, for Ethernet networks.
Drop and Insert
The process in which a signal, or part of a signal, in transit is dropped off at an
intermediate location, and other information is inserted into the signal for subsequent
transmission.
