11. 3. Screen saver
Vectron POS SteelTouch PC has a high-quality liquid
crystal display with background lighting. The tubes of
the background lighting have a service life of 45,000 to
50,000 hours.
This service life is considerably reduced by a frequent
switch on and off. An activated screen saver starts the
switch on and off; the interval for the activation of the
screen saver should therefore not be too short.
Yet, if the interval is very long, the displayed elements
could burn in the LCD screen. This means that you can
hardly recognize the elements and operate them in case of
touchscreens.
To avoid these problems we recommend activating the
screen saver after approximately 30 minutes.
You can change the screen saver settings using the fol-
lowing steps:
<Start> ¬ <Control panel> ¬ <Display> ¬ <Screen saver> ¬
<Wait>

To adjust the brightness of the operator display perfectly
to the ambient conditions open the program ‘Intel(R) GMA
Driver for Mobile’, which you can start using the following
