Downloading data from a driver card
IMPORTANT
If the device has not yet been configured, you receive an error message
when you insert a driver card or a download key.

This function for driver's license control is only available when the RFID
reader is activated in the settings of the terminal;

This is how you enter the data of a driver card into the VDO SmartTerminal:
1. Insert the driver card chip down and forward into the card reader.
During the transmission of the data of a driver card, the progress of the down-
load is shown on the display.
IMPORTANT
If an info text is stored in the VDO TerminalTools (

), it is dis-
played above the progress display. Here, the operator can scroll the screen
using his/her finger if the text is longer than the field provided.
After the download of the data, the driver's license control dialog is displayed.
