Installation:
1.
Select a mounting location. This sender will
perform optimally when mounted with a ‘clear line
of sight’ to the sky, i.e.: not blocked by a roofline or
other steel structure. Other locations may work,
depending on your vehicles characteristics. This
sender has been designed with a watertight
enclosure and may be mounted in an exterior
location, if required.
2.
Wire the GPS speed sender as follows

to ground (-12V)for 200,000 pulses
to power (+12V) for 16,000 pulses
* Use 200,000 pulses when using a VDO speedometer. Use 16,000
pulses for most non-VDO speedometers.
Note: +12V can be constant (ie: to the battery) or
switched.
+12V constant will allow the GPS sender to
maintain constant connection to the GPS
satellites and allow for immediate speed signal
at vehicle start. Battery consumption is
comparable to that of a radio’s clock.
+12V switched will not draw any power when
the vehicle is shut down, but will require 35-60
seconds for the sender to connect to the GPS
satellites when power is switched on.
