10.2.1 Troubleshooting
WARNING
Always switch the machine off before troubleshooting work.
Before starting, switch off the main switch and put a padlock on it to prevent
the machine being turned on inadvertently. Keep the key out of the reach of
other people!
All repairs must be carried out by the VC999 Customer Service Department!
Fault Possible cause Remedy
Machine does not re-
gister on the display Machine is not connected to the
power supply Connect the machine to the power
supply
Circuit breaker (2F5.1) has trip-
ped Reset the circuit breaker (2F5.1)
Fine-wire fuse (2F5.2) has blown Replace the fine-wire fuse (2F5.2)
Main switch not switched on Switch on the main switch
Main switch is defective Check the main switch and, if ne-
cessary, replace it
Mains fuse (provided by the cus-
tomer) has blown Replace the mains fuse (provided by
the customer)
EMERGENCY STOP button has
been pressed Reset the EMERGENCY STOP but-
ton
The display is defective Replace the display
Contact Customer Service
Service door is unlocked Use both star knobs to lock the ser-
vice door.
Service door cannot
be unlocked The sieve has not been or is in-
correctly inserted in the belt cart-
ridge Check and insert the sieve correctly
Turning bolt modified through
distortion of the machine frame Adjustment of the locking plate (see
Chapter "10.2.1.1 Adjustment of lock
on service door")
Conveyor belt too
loud Drive or bearings or guide ele-
ments worn Check and replace if necessary
