Bandwidth Throttling
If necessary, each profile can be bandwidth-throttled to limit the bandwidth used for file
transfers.
Under normal conditions, you will never need to change these settings.
However, the value (in KBps) can be set to lessen the impact of backups in bandwidth-
challenged environments. A setting of 0 (the default) will not limit the bandwidth used for
the file transfers.

To throttle the bandwidth used for file transfers:
1. Double-click on the first profile and go to
Copy/Delete > Advanced
.
2. Set the value to whatever is appropriate for your site. VBrick recommends leaving this
value at zero unless it has an adverse impact on Portal Server users.
Software Installation
EtherneTV Backup requires a license key. If your EtherneTV purchase included ETV
Backup, the license key will be installed by VBrick prior to shipment. If you ever need to re-
install the software, the license key is attached to the "Software Activation Keys" card that is
included with the server. If you purchase ETV Backup separately, VBrick will send a
"Software Activation Keys" card with the new license key attached. Launch ETV Backup and
enter this license key, when prompted, to activate the software.
