Recording
The XTi records live TV programs directly to an external storage, with options of a removable USB storage or SD
card or supported network storage drive. You can record Free-to-Air or Pay-TV CI programs as they air or
schedule a future program recording, so you will never miss a show again.
The XTi records the actual broadcast quality, capturing the TV stream up to full HD 1080p with surround sound
and even 3D when available or UHD 4K on XTi-3442-52.
Recording single or even multiple programs at the same time is possible if your removable storage is fast
enough.
You can watch recorded program from all connected supported devices via the VBoxLiveTV free
applications or 3

party supported UPnP applications

Attached Storage

The XTi records TV shows on to a removable USB storage or SD Card.

You can connect Hi-Speed USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 USB Flash Drive or Removable Hard Drive. Make sure that
your USB storage is fast enough to support your recording needs. For full HD recording 25MB/s write
speed and above is recommended

Connecting a removable Hard Drive - Using your USB cable, connect your hard drive to your XTi via the
USB port on the back. If your hard drive requires an external power supply, make sure it’s plugged in and
your drive is turned on.

Make sure that your drive is formatted in one of the supported file systems: NTFS, FAT32, FAT16, EXT 2,
EXT 3, EXT 4

The SD card can be inserted in the slot that is located in the left side of the XTi Device.
