Vehicle security

Electric windows

:

Operated via 2 or 4 

switches in the 

driver’s door. Front switches operate the 

front windows and rear switches 

operate the rear windows.
For incremental operation, briefly pull or 

press the switch. For automatic opening 

or closing, pull or press switch for longer. 

Pull or press again to stop. 

Refuelling:

Open tank flap, unscrew fuel filler cap, 

remove and suspend from tank flap. The 

fuel tank has a limiting system which 

prevents overfilling of the tank. 

Luggage compartment:

To unlock

Press button

 on the radio remote 

control and pull button beneath handle. 

Vehicles with Open&Start system 

the 

tailgate is unlocked automatically by 

pulling the button beneath the handle 

when the electronic key is in the external 

reception range of the vehicle.

Bonnet:

To open the bonnet, pull the release 

lever located below the instrument 

panel on the driver's side. The bonnet 

will then be unlocked and will partially 

open. Return release lever to its original 

position.

Open&Start system

Allows the vehicle to be locked / 

unlocked providing the electronic key is 

in the external reception range of the 

vehicle (approx. 1 metre). Vehicle can 

then be started using the start/stop 

button providing the driver has the 

electronic key on his person.

Refuelling continued:

Before refuelling, switch off engine and if 

applicable any auxiliary heating with 

combustion chambers. Switch off mobile 

phones.

To close, position fuel filler cap and 

rotate past resistance until cap audibly 

clicks over retainer. Close tank flap and 

wipe off any overflowing fuel.

Petrol engines - use unleaded fuel only.

Diesel engines - use diesel fuel meeting 

specifications of DIN EN 590

Fuel tank capacity (all models) - 56 litres.

Engine oil:

Check every 300 miles or prior to long 

journeys.

Important: 

It is the owner’s responsibility to 

maintain the correct level of an 

appropriate quality oil in the engine.

Electronic immobiliser:

The vehicle checks whether the vehicle 

may be started with the mechanical key 

or electronic key of the Open&Start 

system 

that is being used. If the key is 

recognised as "authorised" the vehicle 

can be started.
The electronic immobiliser activates 

itself automatically after the key has 

been removed from the ignition or with 

the Open&Start system

engine is switched off by pressing the 

Start/Stop button.

To open completely, locate safety catch 

as viewed from the front:

lift upwards and open the bonnet. 

To hold the bonnet in the open position, 

insert support rod located at right 

angles above the radiator grille into the 

small slot in the underside of the bonnet, 

at its front edge.
Before closing bonnet, press support rod 

firmly into its retainer. Lower the bonnet 

gradually and then allow it to fall into 

the lock under its own weight. 
Check that the bonnet is locked in 

position by pulling at its front edge. If it 

is not engaged, repeat the procedure.

Manual transmission:

Reverse gear: With vehicle stationary, 

wait 3 seconds after declutching and 

then pull up button on selector lever and 

engage gear.

Automatic transmission
