Overview
User Accounts and DIGIPASS records can be grouped in the aXsGUARD Identifier using two structures: domains
and Organizational Units, which are managed using the aXsGUARD Identifier Administration Web interface.
In this section, we first introduce aXsGUARD Identifier domains and Organizational Units, and their similarities and
differences. We then explain the Master Domain concept and uses, moving DIGIPASS User Accounts and location
of DIGIPASS records. Finally we illustrate some typical DIGIPASS location models.

Domains and Organizational Units
Image 44: Domains and Organizational Units
Domains and Organizational Units are included in the internal database in a way that mirrors the hierarchical
organization of your company.
Domains and Organizational Units are used to:
separate users and/or groups
limit administrator activities to the administrator's own domain (delegated administration) or to an
Organizational Unit
to allocate DIGIPASS records to different domains or Organizational Units, for example to mirror the geographic
location of the devices.
