Do not use the unit for the cutting of shrubs, brushwood or underwood.

Regularly check the metal cutting blade's condition and change damaged cutting blades.

10 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

ATTENTION!  Let  any  repair  and  maintenance  work  not  described  in  these
instructions  be  carried  out  by  a  professional  service  shop.  Only  use
original  replacement  parts.  Any  maintenance  and  cleaning  tasks  should
only  be  carried  out  when  the  motor  is  switched  off  and  the  ignition
disconnected. Risk of injury! Let the machine cool down before undertaking
any  maintenance  or  cleaning  tasks.  Parts  of  the  motor  are  hot.  There  is  a
risk of getting burned!

This tool corresponds to the relevant safety provisions.

Repairs, service and maintenance must be carried out exclusively by authorized service
workshops/trained professionals.

Only original spare parts may be used for repairs; otherwise there is a risk of injury for the
operator.

10.1

Unit cleaning

Subject your unit to regular cleaning and care. It will deliver good performance for a very long
time.

After every operation clean the cutting attachment of grass and soil.

Clean the unit with a soft brush or a rug.

The unit must not be sprayed with water or submerged into water.

Do not use any detergents or cleaning solutions. The unit could be damaged. Chemical
substances could negatively affect the unit's plastic components.

10.2

Air filter

The air filter should be cleaned regularly removing dust and dirt to avoid:

Carburetor malfunction

Starting problems

Reduced engine power

Unnecessary wear to engine parts

Abnormal fuel consumption

Cleaning the air filter:

Dismantle the air filter cover and remove the air filter.

Wash in clean, warm soapy water.

Ensure that the filter is dry before refitting.

An air filter used for a long period of time can never be cleaned completely. Therefore it is
necessary to replace the air filter from time to time with a new filter.

Attention!  Do  not  ever  use  the  unit  without  its  air  filter.  The  filter  must  be
kept clean. A damaged filter must be replaced with a new one.
