The Smart Repeater unit contains test software stored in its EPROMs for
the purpose of testing Series 300 luminaires.
Note: For complete Smart Repeater operating instructions refer to the
ACS Equipment Manual Service (02.9623.0010).
To use the test software, set the thumbwheel switch to 000, plug the
luminaire to be tested into Port 1, and apply power to the Smart Repeater
unit. There must be at least one luminaire plugged into the Smart Repeater
unit (there can be more), and there must be a luminaire plugged into Port 1
for the best results. Press the buttons above and below the thumbwheel
switch to adjust the number in the display, which in turn will allow the
software to conduct the test you wish to run. To select other ports for
testing, set the thumbwheel switch to 051 and use the test parameter place
on the thumbwheels switch (the hundreds digit) to select the desired ports:
0 for all ports, 1 through 6 for ports 1 through 6 respectively.
Once power is applied to the Smart Repeater unit, the reset test is
performed immediately. If the Smart Repeater unit passes this initial test,
the LED display will show the message [Sr uP], which means the Smart
Repeater unit is operating properly. The luminaire will then begin to cali-
brate. After calibration, you can adjust the thumbwheel switch to the
different codes to test particular luminaire functions (see next page).
