The narrow field lens assembly is comprised of two lens barrel halves. The
seam between the two halves may have a gap thru which dust can enter
eventually creating a less than perfect optical system. To prevent dust
entering the lens assembly, separate the lens halves and apply a small bead
of translucent RTV 108 along the seam and press the two lens halves
together. All dust should be cleaned from inside the lens assembly.
