6.9.
Necessary recurrent maintenance and/or testing
The lifespan of the pump is depended on the amount of running cycles/hours and on the pressure drop
over the pump. Reducing the pressure drop over the pump will enhance the lifespan of the rotary vane
pump. The pressure drop can be reduced by reducing the pressure drop losses over connectors and
hoses.
Wear of the pump will result in a reduction of the flow. The lifespan of the pump has ended when the
minimum flow can no longer be reached; then the pump head should be replaced. See §7.
6.10.
Disconnection from host system
Before disconnecting the cooler make sure that:

There is no cooling of the X-ray system required
If the Cooler needs to be disconnected from the host system, follow the directions from §3 in reverse
order.
