Installation of cables
Cables for power supply and CAN bus must be connected to the green CAN bus connector that is pre-
assembled inside the collimator (see §1.8). The connector can be reached when the rear cover of the
collimator is removed (see §3.5 for instructions). The instructions for electrical isolation (see chapter 4,
Electrical ) shall be taken into account.
WARNING:
Disconnect power supply before opening collimator.
WARNING:
To avoid electromagnetic interference, follow the cable specification!
WARNING:
Cables and terminals used for the connection of the collimator must be
suitable for operation at temperatures of 70 °C.
WARNING:
Incorrect power supply could damage the electronic timer and/or the lamp
and/or electrical motor DC/Stepper.
WARNING:
Collimator supply is protected by a fuse. See §4.1
WARNING:
Power supply cable must be designed to carry the collimator supply current
and should meet IEC60601-1 requirements
CAN bus interface cable requirements
•
Shielded cable, twisted wires, data pair and one common
•
Cable size: The supplied strain reliefs (See §1.8) will fit round cables with a diameter of
approximately 5,6 - 7.4 mm.
CAUTION
: The maximum length of the CAN bus interface cable depends on the selected
CAN bus baud rate. Cables may not be longer than is defined in the CAN bus standard
otherwise unpredictable behavior may occur.
