ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Mains Unit:
The Mains Unit fitted in all models replaces the conventional fuse box, and is
similar to the type used in most homes.
The Mains Unit is designed to operate on a mains supply of 185 - 265 volts
ac. It is ideal for use with low continental voltages. It gives overloads and
earth leakage protection for the mains electrical supply in your caravan.
The unit, is normally located in the central offside floor locker adjacent to
the fridge (position may vary), and is accessed by lifting up the offside bed
base.
The unit has the benefit of Double Pole Protection that is to say if connected
to a reverse polarity supply overload protection is maintained on both live
and neutral conductors.
The 40 amp RCD (Residual Current Device) gives protection against earth
faults and also acts as a main isolation switch.
For normal operation all switches on the unit need to be in the ON position
(up).
