1. You need to know:
• front and closure plate are used
• required cavity size and hearth

• venting con

guration
• optional accessories if any (fan)
2. Carefully unpack the appliance and loose
items packed with it and all accessories;
recycle the packaging.
3. Remove the window and set aside in a safe
place to avoid damage.
4. Take out of the
fi
rebox any loose items
packed inside for transportation.
5. Check that you have all the components in
hand for the installation. This includes:
• liner panels and fuel beds
(in separate cartons)
• front, trim including barrier screen, fret
• gas conversion kit if required
• venting components and accessories
• electrical parts for optional accessories
6. Look up dimensions, clearances, hearth
requirements and venting information in
the installation manuals supplied with the
appliance, trims and accessories to ensure
that the cavity is of appropriate dimensions.
7. If the appliance needs gas conversion, con-
vert the appliance now with the optional kit
listed in the appliance manual.
8. Convert appliance venting outlet if needed -
rear or co-linear.
9. Clean the cavity, chimney, ash dump and
clean-out of the existing chimney.
10. Install the electrical wiring to the
fi
replace if
required.
11. Install the vent adapter.
12. Install and connect the venting system. Seal
pipes joints.
13. Install the appliance in the existing cavity.

14. Install restrictors to the REAR wall ports in
the
fi
rebox and adjust them.
15. Connect the gas line to the appliance and
test for gas leaks.
16. Install the fan (blower) if used.
17. Install the 567FGP grille to cover the top
ports in the
fi
rebox, if used.
18. Install the liner panels and fuel bed in the
fi
rebox.
19. Re
fi
t the window. Check spring-loaded win-
dow return.
20. Reinstall the Hot Glass Warning plate on the
window if it has been removed.
21. Put batteries in battery holder and handset.
22. Pair remote control receiver and handset.
23. Check burner lighting and adjust the aera-
tion settings if necessary.
24. Install the remote control handset wall
holder as required.
25. Install the front, trim and barrier screen.
26. INSTRUCT THE CONSUMER ON HOW TO
OPERATE AND MAINTAIN THE FIREPLACE.
