Install Slip Ring

DANGER
• THE CONTROL PANEL AND COLLECTOR
RING CONTAIN HIGH VOLTAGE! 480 VOLTS
CAN KILL. ALWAYS DISCONNECT ELECTRI-
CAL POWER BEFORE SERVICING OR PER-
FORMING MAINTENANCE TO THE MACHINE.

CAUTION
• ALWAYS IDENTIFY POTENTIAL FALL HAZ-
ARDS AND DETERMINE IF FALL PROTEC-
TION EQUIPMENT IS APPROPRIATE FOR
THE TASK, BEFORE BEGINNING THE WORK.
9. Remove collector ring cover.
• If an encoder or resolver is present in the
collector ring, disconnect and remove the en-
coder or resolver, mounting brackets, sensor
arm and sensor bracket. Retain all hardware.
See Figure 13-1.
• If a running light is wired to the collector ring,
mark each wire connection for the running
light, then disconnect the running light wiring
and remove the strain relief connector from the
collector ring housing. See Figure 13-2.
