Charging the refrigerant cycle
4.1.
Operating conditions and accessories
The following operating conditions must be maintained for charging:
Digital manifold
To check the prescribed amount of charged refrigerant, ideally a digital
manifold is used which has an external temperature sensor (for
example, manufactured by Testo or Refco).
Regardless of the charging station or the charging manometer, which is
connected to the compressor and intended for charging the equipment,
the digital manifold is connected to the equipment itself to check subcoo-
ling.
Connecting the digital manifold:
1. High-pressure connection on the Schrader valve in the liquid pipe
before the drier.
2. Place the temperature sensor on the same pipe between the stop-
cock and the pressure switch. Make sure that the temperature sen-
sor has a good heat transmission.
