24 VOLT POWER SUPPLY
INTRODUCTION
This instruction covers the specifications and
information necessary to install and maintain the
VP-1024, 24 volt power supply offered by Valcom,
Inc.
DESCRIPTION
The VP-1024 power supply consists of a transformer,
rectifier, and regulator which provides a dc output of
24 volts at 1.0 amperes. The power supply operates
on a nominal 117 volt, 60 Hz single phase input. The
VP-1024 is short circuit protected.
INSTALLATION
The power supply plugs into an ac receptacle. No
special tools are required for installation.
When using the VP-1024 with Valcom page control
units, a strap should be added from the local ground
to the "+" terminal of the power supply. Connections
to Valcom page control units are shown in Figure 1.
When installing Valcom one-way amplified horns,
connect the white and black wires of the horn to the
power supply "-" and "+" terminals respectively.
When installing Valcom one-way speakers, connect
the -24V and ground terminals of the speaker to the
power supply "-" and "+" terminals respectively.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
When trouble is reported, verify that AC power is
being supplied to the unit. To test the power supply,
remove all output connections and measure the output
voltage with a meter. If no voltage is measured,
replace the unit.
Assistance in troubleshooting is available from the
factory. When calling you should have a VOM and a
test set available and be calling from the job site.

Valcom equipment is not field repairable. Valcom,
