VIP-402A, VIP-402A-EC 

LAY-IN ONE-WAY IP CEILING SPEAKER 

 
 
 

 

INTRODUCTION 

The VIP-402A / VIP-402A-EC Lay-In One-way IP 
Ceiling Speakers enable voice access to a single 
zone of paging over an IP-based network.  This 
allows a page zone extension anywhere on the 
network.  The speaker output level is electrically 
adjusted during setup.  The lay-in ceiling speaker 
grille is made of steel with a white baked enamel 
finish.  The VIP-402A replaces a 2’ x 2’ ceiling tile.  
The VIP-402A-EC replaces a 600mm x 600mm 
ceiling tile.  Power is provided to the unit via a 
Power over an Ethernet (PoE) switch meeting the 
802.3af specification.
