Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING
Remove the plug from the mains socket, then let the unit
fully cool down before cleaning it.
Clean the unit’s exterior and soleplate with a soft, dry cloth. You
can also clean them with a cloth dampened with a neutral pH
product, then dry them with a clean, dry cloth.
Descaling the boiler
To maintain its efficiency and avoid any limescale discharge, it is
essential that the steam station be descaled and the boiler rinsed
whenever the boiler descaling indicator light turns on.
• Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to switch off
your unit. Let the unit cool down completely before starting the
descaling operation.
• Move the unit near to a sink and make sure that it is placed on
a flat, stable surface. Remove the water tank from its housing.
Turn the unit over and unscrew the drain plug.
Drain plug
• Empty the water contained in the boiler.
• Pour two glasses of water into the boiler, then screw the drain
plug back on.
• Return the unit to its original position and place the iron on a
flat surface.
• Hold the station with both hands and shake it gently for 30
seconds. Next, unscrew the drain plug and drain the water.
If the water coming out of the boiler is not clear, repeat this
operation until the water runs clear.
• Once you have finished, screw the drain plug back on and place
your iron back on its iron rest, whilst making sure to lock it in
place.
