2.1 Vaisala Automatic Weather Station

AWS310-SITE

Vaisala Automatic Weather Station AWS310

‑

SITE automatically measures, processes, and

stores meteorological data for airport use. AWS310

‑

SITE is designed for permanent

installation.
The QML data logger inside the weather station enclosure receives measurement data from
the sensors and calculates basic meteorological variables. It also monitors sensor status,
performs data quality control, and formats data for output in application-specific formats.
These values are transmitted to the Vaisala AviMet system, where they are further processed
and displayed to the user.
AWS310

‑

SITE requires only a minimal amount of maintenance and can be trusted to perform

effectively in all weather conditions and climates. The modular design of the station allows
easy integration of additional sensors after the initial purchase and permits quick
replacement of individual components, reducing downtime and overall operating cost.

You can use AWS Client to work with the QML data logger, for example, to set station-
specific parameters and to download the daily log files.
