1 Notes on the documentation
The following notes are a guide to all the documentation
for this product. Other documents apply together with
these installation instructions. We assume no liability for
any damage which arises as a result of failure to follow
these documents and instructions.
1.1 Read and follow other applicable documents
When installing the 3-way valve, read and follow all
installation instructions for appliances, units and
components of the system.
These installation instructions accompany the various
units in the system and any supplementary components.
Also read and follow all operating manuals accompa-
nying the components of the system.
1.2 Keeping documents on hand
Give these installation instructions and all the other
applicable documents plus any required auxiliary
materials to the owner/operator of the system.
The owner/operator then has responsibility for keeping
the documents on hand so that the instructions and
auxiliary materials are available when needed.
1.3 Symbols used
The symbols used in the text are explained in the follow-
ing. These instructions also make use of hazard symbols
for the identification of hazards (
¬ section 2.1.1 ).

2 Safety
2.1 Be mindful of safety and warning information
During operation, be mindful of the general safety
instructions and the warning information which could
appear before instructions for activities.
2.1.1 Classification of warning information
The warning information is graded as follows with warn-
ing symbols and signal words indicating the severity of
the possible danger:
