Using for the first time
The appliance must be installed and connected to the electricity supply by a quali-
fied fitter/electrician in accordance with the separate installation instructions.
2.1
Before using for the first time
Before operating the newly installed appliance for the first time, the following steps
should be taken:
▸ Remove the protective polystyrene packing from the cutlery drawer.
▸ Switch on the power and turn on the water tap.
▸ Set the water hardness
in the user settings (see page 41).
▸ Fill the salt reservoir with approx. 1.0 l water and 1 kg regeneration salt (see page
46).
▸ Wipe away any excess salt around the edge of the salt reservoir.
▸ Fill the rinse agent reservoir with rinse agent (see page 48).
▸ Select (see page 27) and add (see page 28) the detergent.
▸ Run the «Intensive»
programme without dishes to protect the appliance from cor-
rosion from any excess salt and to remove traces of grease left behind from the man-
ufacturing process.
The
refill indicator can flash during the first few wash cycles.
goes out when
the salt concentration in the reservoir is evenly distributed.
2.2
Setting the door weight
Testing the 30° opening angle
▸ Check whether the appliance door
stays open at an opening angle of ap-
prox. 30°.
If the appliance door swings open in an
uncontrolled fashion:
▸ Open the appliance door approx. 30°
and hold it in this position.
▸ Tighten the screws until the appliance
door stays open in this position on its
own.
Testing the 90° opening angle
▸ Check whether the appliance door
stays open at an opening angle of
90°.
If the appliance door comes up:
▸ Open the appliance door approx. 30°
and hold it in this position.
▸ Loosen the screws until the appliance
door stays open in this position on its
own.
