UDMR settings
MIDI output (OUT/THRU) settings
This section describes how to change the MIDI output terminal
function.
1. Press the MODE button.
The MODE indicator light comes on.
2. Turn the SELECT dial to '6.1 MIDI OUTPUT' then
press the SELECT dial.
3. Use the SELECT dial to choose the desired MIDI
output then press the SELECT dial.
Setting
Summary
Out
Transmits MIDI data from the UDMR.
Select this setting when using the UDMR as
the MTC master.
Thru
Transmits MIDI data from the MIDI IN terminal
without modification.
Select this setting when using the UDMR as an
MTC slave.
Once this setting has been selected, the
UDMR itself does not output any MIDI
information.
4. The confirmation screen is displayed. Press the
ENTER button to execute the operation.
To cancel the operation, turn the SELECT dial to
'CANCEL' then press the ENTER button.
Once the setting is complete, the display returns to the
settings selection screen.
5. Press the MODE button.
The setting is completed and the display returns to the
default screen.
Pressing the MODE button mid-setting displays a confirmation
screen asking you whether or not to cancel the setting. Please
note that selecting 'YES' and pressing the ENTER button
returns you to the default screen and cancels all settings made
up to that point.
Configuring MIDI device IDs
This section describes how to set the MIDI device ID
(0 - 31).
In order to sync the UDMR's operation with another MIDI
device via MMC, both devices must have the same ID. Check
the ID of the external MIDI device to be connected before
performing this setting.
1. Press the MODE button.
The MODE indicator light comes on.
2. Turn the SELECT dial to '6.6 MIDI DEVICE ID'
then press the SELECT dial.
3. Use the SELECT dial to designate the desired
MIDI device ID (0 - 31) then press the SELECT
dial.
4. The confirmation screen is displayed. Press the
ENTER button to execute the operation.
To cancel the operation, turn the SELECT dial to
'CANCEL' then press the ENTER button.
Once the setting is complete, the display returns to the
settings selection screen.
5. Press the MODE button.
The setting is completed and the display returns to the
default screen.
