Initiating automatic recording via DMX signal detection ('Trigger Recording')
The UDMR is equipped with a 'Trigger Recording' function which automatically initiates recording when a discretionary DMX
channel value is changed from 50 or below to 51 or above.
You can designate any DMX channel from 1 to 512 as the
trigger channel. The phrase recording starts automatically
when the trigger channel data changes from 50 or below to 51
or above. The phrase recording stops when the trigger channel
value changes to 50 or below.
It is also possible to start recording when there is a change to
the data of one among all of the channels. In this case, the recording does not stop automatically so it has to be terminated
manually by pressing the STOP button.
The method for setting the Trigger Recording function is described on page 30 under the section entitled 'Advanced settings for
DMX phrase recording'.
Initiating automatic recording via MTC/LTC detection
Recording can be initiated automatically by setting the UDMR to record standby mode and externally transmitting MTC/LTC
signals (p.69).
In this case, the time received at the start of recording is automatically recorded as the phrase's time code offset (p.34).
Furthermore, when a time code offset-configured phrase is used for a song phrase, the time code offset is automatically configured
as the start time within said song phrase (p.42).
