COMPONENTS
The following components make up the Reverse Osmosis Deionization System:
FILTER MODULE
holds the filter cartridges and provides system flow controls and automatic shutoff valve (ASO)
PRE-FILTER
(sediment filter) removes larger particles such as sand, silt, rust and scale,
(activated carbon filters) re-
move chlorine in the feed water to protect the reverse osmosis membrane.
REVERSE OSMOSIS MEMBRANE
reduces
dissolved
minerals, metals and salts. During the process, harmful
compounds are separated by the membrane and the reject water goes to waste (drain).
DI CARTRIGDE
removes remaining ions to provide deionized water.
