3.2 INSTALLATION OF THE CONTROL PANEL
•
Remove the screw located on the front cover and open the control panel.
•
Open the holes located on the top/bottom area of the metallic box if they are convenient for cabling; alternatively, use the
holes already available at the back of the box.
•
Fix the control panel to the wall by using the suitable holes placed at the back of the box.
•
The control panel is fastened to the wall by means of 4 screw anchors with maximum dimension of 6 mm
•
Insert the plastic clips in the holes available at the back of the metal box.
•
Let the AC mains cable and the ground connection pass through the hole located under the power supply unit and on the
bottom part of the metallic box.
•
Connect the line, neutral and ground cables to the power supply unit.
•
For the supply cable, a manually operated power supply switching device externally to the control panel must be used; this
switching device must have a 3 mm minimum distance between contacts.
The switching equipment must disconnect simultaneously the Line and the Neutral conductor.
•
Complete the cabling phase by making sure that the other cables are not installed too close to the power supply cable.
When cabling is over, ensure that all the cables and the sheaths of the detection circuits are fixed and do not cause any short
circuit, then power supply the control panel. The connection of the sheaths at ground must be performed by connecting the
available female plug type terminals to the male terminals located on the metallic backplane where the command and control
module is placed.
Use shielded cables with minimum section of 0.50mm
2
for the detection circuits.
The resistance of the circuit must not exceed 25
Ω
per wire (50
Ω
total).
The following table reports the maximum length of the detection circuit as a function of the section of the cable.

A 3300
Ω
end-of-line resistor must be connected to the output terminals of the last point on the line.
The unused circuits must be closed anyway by using a 3300
Ω
resistor connected directly to the terminals of each circuit.
Note: Wires with cross-section area of 0.5 mm² or larger must comply with IEC 60332-1-2; wires with cross-section area smaller
than 0.5 mm² must comply with IEC 60332-2-2.
