2 GENERAL SAFETY RULES
2.1 SAFETY OF PEOPLE
A few general safety instructions to be observed are reported below.
2.1.1 Installation, start up and maintenance operations
Only skilled personnel is allowed to carry out the installation phase, the search of faults and, in general, any intervention on the
control panel or the system.
These personnel must be able to access to the relevant documentation, and this manual in particular. Unqualified personnel is not
authorized to operate on the control panel. Moreover, the control panel must be powered off before any intervention can take place.
2.1.2 Power supply insulating device
The installation standard requires the use of a manually operated power supply insulating device in the connection of the control
panel to the AC mains. This device must be easily identifiable since it will be placed in an electrical cabinet, along with other
equipment.
2.1.3 Batteries
The control panel is equipped with an internal power supply composed of two sealed lead batteries.
WARNING!
If the batteries are replaced with ones of different type there is danger of explosion. Dispose of the exhausted batteries by following
the relevant instructions.
The batteries can be a risk of electric shock or burn due to the very high short circuit current. Please, follow these precautions:
•
remove clocks, rings, bracelets and any other metallic object;
•
only use objects with insulated handles.;
•
do not put metallic tools on the batteries;

do not try to modify the cables or the terminals of the batteries; these operations can lead to injuries.
2.1.4 Disposal of batteries
The lead batteries contain harmful substances!
At the end of their lifecycle they must not be disposed of like ordinary waste, but they must be delivered to an authorized waste
recycling and disposal centre.
