CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
What?
How?
Important!
Daily dirt
on
the
glass
(fingerpri
nts,
marks,
food
stains or
unsweete
ned
liquids
spilled on
the glass)
1. Turn off the hob.
2. Apply a glass-ceramic
cleaner while the glass is
still hot (but not burning!)
3. Rinse and dry it with a
clean cloth or paper
napkin.
4. Turn the hob back on.
- When the hob is turned off, there
will be no "hot surface" indication,
although the cooking area may still
be hot! Be very careful.
- Scourers and abrasive cleaning
agents can scratch the glass.
Always read the label to check
whether your cleaner or scourer is
suitable.
- Never leave cleaning residue on the
hob: the glass can get stained.
Spills of
hot,
molten or
boiling
sugary
liquids on
the glass
Remove
them
immediately
with
a
spatula, a palette knife or
a blade scraper suitable
for glass-ceramic hobs,
but be careful with the
hot surfaces of the
cooking areas:
1. Unplug the hob.
2. Hold the blade or
utensil at a 30° angle and
scrape any dirt or spilled
liquid off a cold area of
the cooktop.
- Remove stains created by spilled
liquids or melted or sugary foods as
soon as possible. If you let them
cool on the glass, they can be
difficult to remove and even
permanently damage the glass
surface.
- Cutting risk: when the safety cover
is removed, the scraper blade is very
sharp. Use it with extreme care and
always store it safely and out of the
reach of children.
