Troubleshooting
If there is a jam in the appliance
This means that you may have fed too much paper into the appliance (max.
7 sheets 80 g/m2
for manual feeding, max. 75 sheets 80 g/m 2
for automatic
feeding).
During automatic feeding, the appliance will beep until the paper jam is cleared.
During manual feeding

red until the paper jam has been cleared.

Slide the
AUTO/OFF/REV
switch

REV
(reverse) position if the
material being shredded gets stuck. The appliance now goes into reverse
and the material is ejected.

Pull the material being cut out of the appliance and then slide the
AUTO/
OFF/REV
switch

AUTO

The appliance is now ready for use.
If the appliance suddenly stops working
This means that the appliance has overheated and the automatic safety cut-out
has activated. The
overheat/overload

lights up continuously red.

Slide the

switch

OFF
position. The
power/bin

and the
overheat/overload

go out.

Remove the plug from the mains power socket.
♦
Allow the appliance to cool down for about 30 minutes.

Replace the plug in the mains power socket.
♦
Switch the appliance on by sliding the
AUTO/OFF/REV
switch

to the
AUTO
position. The

continuously lights up blue. The
overheat/overload

remains off when the appliance has cooled
down sufficiently.
The appliance is now ready for use.
If the appliance cannot be switched on

Check whether the mains plug is plugged into the mains socket.

Check whether the
overheat/overload

has come on. If it has come
on, the overheating protection has been triggered. Proceed as described in
the section “Overheating protection”.

Try a different wall socket.
♦
Make sure the cutter attachment
is seated correctly on the waste collec-
tor

♦
The appliance is possibly defective. Have the appliance checked by a
qualified technician.
