Loading the Bill Dispenser
The first time the bill dispenser activates after being re-seated into the Portal TI, there will be a five-
second delay while the dispenser initializes before it dispenses the bill(s). Normal dispense time (one to
two seconds) will resume after this initial activation. After re-seating the bill dispenser, it is highly
recommended that you dispense at least one bill using Maintenance Mode to verify operations and to
initialize the bill dispenser.
To load bills, use the following procedures.

Open the Portal TI door.
6.
Unlock the bill validator.
7.
Pull the Bill Dispenser forward.
8.
Rotate the bill dispenser clockwise.
9.
Open the cassette door.
10.
Hold the stack of bills firmly in one hand and fan them using your other hand to make sure
no bills are stuck together. Repeat the process on both ends of the bill stack.
11.
Remove any bills that are sticking out of the bill stack. The bill stack should be neat and
orderly.
