Connecting external I/O
Refer to P.50 "8-1.External I/O".
Connection procedure
1.
Strip the electric wire to connect by
5mm.
Electric wires from 0.21 to 3.31mm
2
(AWG12 to 24) can be connected.
2.
Twist it enough so that the tip does not
spread.
3.
Loosen screws with a screwdriver and
open the connection port.
Using a #1 flathead screwdriver with a
shaft diameter of 3 to 3.5mm is
recommended (precision screwdrivers
and so on).
4.
Insert the electric wire into the
connection port while making sure that
the tip does not spread.
5.
Tighten the screws using a screwdriver.
The recommended tightening torque value is 0.5Nm.
6.
Slightly pull the electric wire to check that it does not detach.
7.
Insert the plug with the electric wire connected to the UPM100 main unit and
tighten the screws (two locations).
- Connecting external output (sink type)
External output circuit is an open collector. Common is 4.
The capacity of open collector output is 30mA and the withstanding voltage is up to 30V.
