INSTALLATION
To install addressable sounder FD7204S please follow the sequence:
1. Remove the cover from the sounder base by releasing the clips(fig.1, pos.
5
).
2. Fix the base on the wall of the protected premises using appropriate fixings(fig.1, pos.
4
). If
necessary, remove the printed circuit board before that.
3. Complete the wiring as shown on fig. 2
,
and in accordance with the construction projects of the
site.
4. Replace the cover and press it to the base until it is locked by the base's clamps.
TESTING THE SOUNDER
Test addressable sounder FD7204S after installation, as a part of the site's fire alarm system.
To test the sounder please follow the sequence:
1. Apply power to the sounder from the fire alarm control panel IFS 7002 via the signal and the power
supply loops.
2. Wait until the sounder is set to Duty Mode and send a test command for activation through the fire
control panel. The sounder shall enter Fire condition and shall produce a discontinuous sound signal of
sound level 110dB and frequency 3 kHz
/
3
,2
kHz; the LED indicator (fig. 1, pos.
6
) shall illuminate
continuously.
3. Send a reset command from the fire control panel to the sounder under testing. The sounder shall
restore
Duty
Mode.
SERVICE SCHEDULE
1. Inspection for visible physical damage
weekly
2. Satisfactory operation test in real conditions
monthly
WARRANTY
The warrant period is 36 months from the date of purchase. The manufacturer guarantees the
normal operation of the sounder providing that the exploitation requirements set herein have been
observed. The manufacturer does not bear warranty liabilities for damages caused through accidental
mechanical damage, misuse, adaptation or modification after production.
The manufacturer bears warranty liabilities for damages in the sounder caused through
manufacturer's fault only.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Addressable sounder type FD7204S is intended to produce sound signalization upon fire condition
detected by fire alarm system IFS7000.
The addressable sounder consists of a base(fig.1, pos.
2
), piezoelectric transducer(fig.1, pos.
9
),
printed circuit board with connection
terminal
for wiring
the signal loop
SL
(fig.1, pos.
7
) and connection
terminal
for wiring
the power loop
PL
(fig.1, pos.
8
), cover(fig.1, pos.
1
). The LED (fig.1, pos.
6
) illuminates
to indicate the sounder's mode of operation:
-
– the LED flashes repeatedly every 16 seconds.
-Fire condition
– the LEDs illuminates constantly.
-Activated isolator in the signal loop
– the LED flashes repeatedly with 1Hz frequency .
-Activated isolator in the power supply loop
– the LED flashes repeatedly with 2Hz frequency.
The sounder is able to exchange information with Fire Control Panel IFS7000 via the signal loop,
using a specialized protocol – UniTALK, and is power supplied via the power supply loop. The built-in
short circuit isolators provide protection to both signal and power supply loops of the control panel thus
increasing the reliability of the fire alarm system.
