LINE IN USE
When communication is made
between the Base Unit and the
Handset, the screen will go to
“Standby”, and the phone is ready to
use.
If the Handset is at the range limit of
the
MER 9600C
, you may see:

Warning Tone
Can’t make or answer calls
(Phone may ring intermittently)
Action
Move back in range within 20
seconds
Move back within range.
Answering a Call
If the Handset is in the Charger Unit:
1. When you receive a call, the
Handset rings and the LCD
will display a PBX message
showing information about the
call. Also, if one of the
Function Keys (
F) is assigned
to a line, the LED for that key
flashes.
2. Pick up the Handset from the changing unit, this will activate the
AutoTalk feature that allows you to answer the call immediately.

Press the
talk or the flashing
F key. The next LCD display
you will see is:
