Navigation Updates
The Navigation maps can be updated
using a USB device to download the most
recent maps. To prepare a USB device to
update a map follow the steps below:
1. Ensure that the map you are updating is active in the
Navigation system.
2. Select Navigation Updates in the Settings menu.
3. Select “Yes” when asked to prepare a USB device for
downloading updates.
4. Insert a USB device (meeting the requirements shown in
the note below).
NOTE:
When the USB device is ready a message will be
displayed that it is safe to remove the USB device.
5. Remove the USB device and connect it to a computer.
An updated map can now be downloaded to the USB
device using the TomToM HOME application on the com-
puter. Refer to www.tomtom.cpm/getstarted to down-
load the TomTom HOME application.
NOTE: To update the map, a USB device that meets the
following requirements must be used:

8 GB of free memory
•
Use a FAT-32 file system
•
The USB device must not be blocked and allow files to
be saved
