Installation sequence
1.
Before installation remove old mortise lock and escutcheons, mark and drill
holes and mortises in the door according to the lock installation manual and
template, supplied with Smart Handle
2.
Prepare and install the mate part of the mortise lock
3.
If door contact will be used adjust Request-To-Exit micro switch according
paragraph "
Request-To-Exit contact connection
"
4.
Drill the holes in the doorpost for magnet and in the door for the magnetic door
contact in the place, marked on the Fig. 8 below (optionally).
5.
Install the mortise lock and fix it with screws according to the mortise lock
installation instruction
6.
Install the outer escutcheon 1 and run connection wire 3 through the prepared
for it opening (see Fig.10 a and b)
7.
Connect magnetic door contact to the DC terminal on the Battery Holder PCB
(optionally)
8.
Connect controller wiring to the Battery Holder PCB
9.
Install inner escutcheon 11. Take care that rectangle spindle 10 fell into
corresponding holes in the mortise lock and outer escutcheon precisely
10. Fix inner 11 and outer 1 escutcheons with screws 13
11. Insert the cylinder 16 (if used) and secure it with cylinder retainer pin 9,
ensuring pin is flush with front plate (according to mortise lock installation
manual)
12. Install cover plate 8 and secure with screws provided to lock body
13. Place the batteries into the battery holder 18 following the polarity marked
below in this document, see Fig 13.
14. Put on the cover 12 of the inner escutcheon and fix it with screw 17, rotating it
counterclockwise (unscrew)
15. Place the inner handle 14 on the rectangle 10 and fix it with screw 15
16. Add the panel to the access control system database according to the access
control system manual
17. Download panel from the access control system according to the access control
system manual
18. Panel is ready to operation
Warning!!! The dividing washer needs to be removed from 3572 lock to allow
the spindle to go through the lock.
Warning!!! If the door contact is connected and Request-To-Exit micro switch
hasn't been installed any opening the door with the inner handle generates an
event FORCED ENTRY.
