SAFETY

WARNING! 

•  Do not leave the thermometer in the oven 

while cooking. 

•  Do not touch the hot probe with bare hands. 

•  Do not completely immerse the thermometer 

display housing into water for several minutes. 

•  Sterilize the metal probe between uses by 

washing it in hot, soapy water and inserting it 
into boiling water for several minutes. 

USAGE 

1.  Before using, remove protective film from front panel. 

2.  Unfold probe from its housing and screen will 

immediately display the temperature. (See Figure 1)

NOTE: To switch between Fahrenheit and 

Celsius, press the ºC/ºF button. 

NOTE: Pressing the hold button before 
withdrawing the thermometer from the food 
will hold the temperature reading until pressed 
again. 

NOTE: To display the minimum or maximum 
temperature, push the hold button for three 
seconds. It will first display the saved maximum 
temperature. By pushing the hold button again, 
it will show the minimum saved temperature. 

NOTE: Pushing the light button will turn the 
screen light on. It will turn off after a few 
seconds. 

CALIBRATION

1.  Fill a cup with ice followed by cold water. 

2.  Stir briefly to ensure water has reached temperature 

of ice. 

3.  Insert probe into ice water and ensure it is touching 

a piece of ice under water. 

4.  Hold down the CAL button for five seconds. After five 

seconds, the display will flash CALL on the screen 

and then show a temperature. 

5.  Use the ºC/ºF button to increase the number or the 

HOLD button to decrease the number until it reaches 

32ºF (0ºC). 

NOTE: After several seconds of inactivity, the 

display will show the temperature reading 
again. 

MAINTENANCE 

•  Clean the thermometer housing with a wet wash 

cloth or by placing it under running water. 

NOTE: Do not wash the thermometer in the 

dishwasher or leave it in water for more than  
a minute to prevent damage to the unit. 

•  Measurement range: -50ºF to 572ºF. It is not 

recommended to use thermometer above 445ºF.
