6.1.3 SG-CPM5 Options: [2XX] - System Options
Option [201]: Number of Line Cards
Default (24)
This option is used to set the number of line cards polled by the SG-CPM5 . Valid entries are from 1 to 24. The number of line cards being polled must
be programmed the same for each SG-CPM5 . Line cards must be installed in order, starting with slot 1 and ending with slot 24.
Option [202]: Buzzer Tone
Default (6)
This option is used to set the tone of the buzzer that sounds when the system receives an alarm and is not able to forward the alarm message to auto-
mation (Serial or TCP/IP). If set to ‘0’, the buzzer will not sound when the SG-CPM5 is in Manual mode and alarm messages are pending.
NOTE: For UL installations, setting the buzzer tone to ‘0’ is not permitted.

Certain system functions are only available after the purchase of the appropriate license. Once the license key is obtained, it must be entered into this sec-
tion to activate the related function. If an invalid license key is entered, the printer only message “Invalid License Key” is generated. The default of all
0’s indicates that no license key was entered.
NOTE: The SG-System 5 checks the license key on system power-up.
Option [205]: Temperature Format
Default (00)
This option controls the format of any temperature displayed on the LCD.
Celcius (00) - Temperature is displayed as Celsius.
Fahrenheit (01) - Temperature is displayed as Fahrenheit.
6.1.4 SG-CPM5 Options: [3XX] - LCD Options
Option [301]: Brightness Control
Default (50)
This option controls the brightness of the LCD touchscreen. Valid entries are from 1 to 99, where 1 is the least bright and 99 is the brightest. In order to
avoid selecting a value that cannot be seen, Sur-Gard recommends using the Brightness/Tone menu.
6.1.5 SG-CPM5 Options: [4XX] - Automation Options
These sections are used to configure automation options. For Visual Verification (via the Advanced Output Protocol), the SG-Automation output fol-
lows the active SG-CPM5. This means that even if SG-Automation is in Manual mode, the SG-CPM5 continues to output signals for the Advanced
Output Protocol.
