Connecting the Torpedo VM-202
5. In your digital audio workstation (DAW) software, select the digital input for recording (please refer
to the user manual of your digital interface/software). You should hear the signal coming from the
VM-202.
You get an instant control over all the parameters of the VM-202 through the
USB connection
. It is also
useful to upload firmware updates, for preset backup, and to load new cabinet simulations. All of these
functions are addressed through the stand-alone
Torpedo Remote
.

On stage
On stage, we principally use analog inputs/outputs, which are for the moment, the most used in this con-
text. This configuration supposes that the musician listens to the VM-202 through a monitor system.
The guitar/bass preamplifier is plugged into the VM-202. It is also possible to insert an analog/digital
effects processor before the VM-202 (A position, closed to the effects loop placement) or after (B position,
like in a studio).
