Safety valve bypass line
Persons must not be endangered by hot water and vapour escaping. Two or more safety
valves' blow-off lines must be unrestricted; they must individually end at a drainage point.
The outlet diameter of the blow-off lines must match the dimensions of the connected safety
valve, include no more than two bends, and not exceed a maximum length of two metres.
The entire blow-off line must be enlarged if it is necessary to install more bends or lines in
excess of the maximum length. More than three bends and a length in excess of four metres
are not permitted.
The end of the blow-off line must be located 20-40 mm over a sanitary drainage object or
drainage funnel and clearly visible.
The end of the blow-off line must be protected from frost.
5.4
Electrical connections
5.4.1
General
Only authorised, specialist personnel is permitted to open electrical housings and work on
the electrical system after de-energising the equipment. When creating connections, make
sure the terminal assignments and polarity are correct. Protect the control unit and electrical
components against excess voltage.
Danger!
Risk of fatal electric shock as a result of incorrect electrical connections.
Electrical connections must exclusively be created by electricians ap-
proved by energy suppliers and as per the locally applicable regulations.
Disconnect the supply voltage prior to any work.
5.4.2
Control unit connections
The control units on the fresh water stations are pre-wired.
Connect the power supply, the circulation (pump and temperature sensor) and, if necessary,
the return flow circuit.
The individual cascade stations are connected to each other via the K-bus network. From the
3
rd
cascade we recommend merging the connection in a separate connection box.
For this purpose, observe the separate operating instructions for the control unit.
5.4.3
Equipotential bonding
The terminal point must be properly connected to the building potential equaliza-
tion on the mounting plate.
